I only needed one enabler to push me, and whoops! I think i'm over the edge....

Here are some pics of my 'mamas'. They both had their own nests but when #1's chicks hatched #2 thought raising chicks looked like more fun

They have 2, but they don't care. The chicks are doing great with the hens. Another thing I just love is the fact that none of the birds in the pen are bothering the babies and the mamas don't seem to care who else is in there. They just go about their business of teaching their chicks

Seriously, I am DYING to have a broody. I have all the right breeds- Seramas, OEGB, Australorp, Orps, Wyandotte, Delaware!!! But NOBODY wants to sit on eggs. I finally pulled my 5 OEGB eggs out, and now I'm trying to decide what to do with them. Fortunately Bobby pushed me in the direction of an incubator... so

I guess I'm started??

You are missing the most important breeds: Silkies and Cochins

ETA: My OEG (LF) are much more broody than my OEGB by the way

yay its addictive. Incubating. the wait is the worse. I use a turner in one. and by hand in the other. my fav is a Genesis 1588 its very reliable

Man, Bobby, you're getting me in SO much trouble!!!

I'm already up to my knees for spending so much time on BYC... Now I'm going to be hovering over an incubator for 3 weeks?? OH man.. But at least I'll have a free brooder by then??

Cara- HELP ME! Take my egg!

I have no idea what cocopop is supposed to look like, so I couldn't say.

ETA: If you mean the darker one, I still don't know what color she is. But she will likely be a 'cull' anyway since she has green legs.
