So, my little Serama laid her first egg on Tuesday, I witnessed my roo mating her on Sunday, will that egg be fertile? or is that wishful thinking for a first egg?

Seriously... if you all say its good, I'll go splurge on an incubator tomorrow....LOL. I'm getting fuzzy butt fever!

I just got my very first Serama from Jerry today!!! They are beautiful birds and I'm so excited about them!! Even at 4-5 months old they look like they will be nice and correct. I can't wait to see what they look like as they mature and their feathering is even nicer. I will post pics in a week or so once they've settled in some. Right now they are scared to death having gone from a regular wire cage to a 12 x 35 pen and the stress of being shipped.

The older hen is a beautiful chocolate mottled and the rooster is as well but has more white. Didn't get a real close look at them but hopefully they will be a little less scared tomorrow so I can see them better.

Hard to say till incubation. But i would say yes if they are breeding.
