I miss seeing all your serama! So pretty! And we will need chick pics soon too!
I have lots more birds this year to show you guys, and now Patrick dropped me off a cool red frizzle.
I have them in white too. They look like snowballs!
It took three or more years to get the solid whites out of our line and reproducing strong.
It was the weirdest mix one time. I need more pictures to show you!
.......Except I need to find my camera. Its MIA...

Anyone need any hens? (UPDATE__THIS ONE MAY BE SOLD!)
Here is one. I never bred her into our line, but keep thinking I should have.
She got Best of Breed at the Kentucky State Fair last year.

She has some white in her earlobes, and although its not a big deal now for the SCNA, we had already bred it out of our line
over the last few years. I didnt want to reintroduce it. I wonder what color chicks she would have. She is a good layer.. Hmmmmm...

My little cockerel, Cogburn. He is getting more gold in his hackles and saddles every day. H will follow me around anytime I let him out of the pen but is very indignant if I pick him up and he hasnt asked to be, lol...

mama hatched 6, papa is a birchen. they are A class, the pen they are in is a miniature dog kennel.

four of my serama eggs hatched for me. Unfortunately something happened to my serama hen, and she passed away (miss that little girl

) so it's going to be a while before I start doing their eggs again. Here's a couple pics of them at day old. There are two yellow chicks, but only took a pic of the one.

Ok, serama people. I have a little hen that lays an egg every.... 4 or 5 days or so. Is that normal
hmm.png
She is the sweetest, slowest, most mellow bird I've ever seen. You walk right up to her, she cocks her head a bit and you pick her up.. no jumping, no fast heartbeat, no worries. Then, she is perfectly still and looks at me. I place her back on the ground and she just sits there.. doesn't run, doesn't walk, doesn't even look back.

She laid a couple eggs every other day for about a week then tapered off. She laid this thing (I think it was her) that looked like a little rock. It's super hard and the size of a very small marble then nothing for a week or so. Anyway, like how many eggs do they lay a year and how often... guess I could look at the breed chart too. Thanks!
