On a more serious note, how does everyone feel about the Malaysian type? I'm new so not a serious participant in the debate, but either way...you know how they say love it or hate it? I'm kind of on the fence....though some of the pictures that have been posted...do sort of look like mutant deformities, of which I'm not a great fan.

Thanks Bailey!
The Typhon pullet I kept is pretty little too.. I posted pics of her earlier with the red on rear.
Keep me updated and we can compare weights later as they grow up!
Glad you are becoming as addicted as the rest of us and spreading the love!!

Im going broke feeding them all!!! Going through at least 50 lbs a week of crumbles and 50lbs of fine screened cracked corn (20/bag here!)

Austin, wish you were closer! We could play bird swap and compare notes so I can see what happens when you cross Jerry's super nice birds into my line. Everything you have is so nice! That pullet grew up to be a bit U backed, but you got my very best frizzle roo last year, and you can see that he passes on some really nice genes! Do you ever show?

My birds would appreciate a beach with the cooler weather we are having. Can I go with them? LOL
It went from 90 to 50 here in a week. Brrrrrrrrrr!

SilverPhoeniz---LOVE LOVE LOVE the chicks! What cool colors!

Having a line suck sometimes, because I get variations of the same 6 colors all the time. I never get black, penguin or red chicks. Im jealous of you guys!

I think the Malaysian type is a bit too extreme for me. It's cool-looking in a way, I do appreciate them to some degree (I wouldn't turn one away if I had a chance to get one, though then I would worry about its health) but it looks rather unnatural and that worries me a bit. I prefer more moderate seramas where the bird doesn't look sort of...squished? If that makes sense. Anyway, that's my view.

You can try, but they might crush them or kill them when they hatch.
I use cochin/silkie crosses a lot. Or just cochins..... Whatever I have sitting around broody, but never had much luck with big hens.
