I've had a few pullets at 4 weeks that show some color in the comb, but it doesn't develop much further until 16+ weeks.

As for feather color, it will change a couple of times before maturity, and since there aren't standardized colors in Serama, it's hard to specify. As of now, black and white mottled seems to be pretty close.

well the comb has been there since hatch but doesnt seem to be growing larger than the bird, if that makes sense? the comb color is still fleshy. black and white mottled sounds good to me!

I have a pure white cockerel (he's still pretty young, I can take pictures if wanted) who will be wanting a home at some point! He has yellow legs and red ear lobes like he's supposed to, and not a feather on him that's not white!

I'm in northern California and would prefer someone in the area who can pick him up (even if it means meeting somewhere halfway), but I might consider shipping him if someone really wants him. If anyone is interested in him, just drop me a PM any time.

(I'm not in a hurry to find him a home, but figured I'd get the word out about him early!)

I checked my serama eggs from mbrobbins last night and still have 21 of 37 viable embryos!! Only 5 days til hatch-day if they hatch on day 19!!

A guy here in MS that raises a few and shows some.Supposedly his come from Jerry's stock closely,but I'm not sure.I'm mainly an Old English Bantamer,but I saw how small these guys were and loved them.I have 5 hens and 2 roos,but my better roo has a bad eye from chasing down one of the big boys....
