They are both "very" nice hens but I am in LOVE with the first little hen!

Yes I agree, they are both beautiful hens.

I really like the first one too. I have a little pullet that I hope ends up looking very similar to yours when she is grown. It is a very eye appealing color.

At least your fella stayed dark. The little man I have that started out brown (I was just SURE I had a chocolate , is now mostly ivory with some black penciling and black tail feathers.

Well, school kicked my butt this fall and took all my free time again. All A's and One B though!
The cold here took a lot of my young and older birds when it first hit.. I guess it set in pretty early this year in KY. Ive never lost any birds like this before.

I need to graduate, get a real job and build a huge heated barn, lol.
I have full time school this winter semester, and with the many farm chores in the bitter cold, I wanted to visit here before things get too hectic!

Shelley that 1sst hen is super who are they from and how much does she weigh??And Jessi glad school went well.My babies from you I just moved back into the house.They have a really nice pen I had built on wheels so I can move it around from room to room and outside this spring.I will post pix soon.

I had 4 that hatched out of my 8 eggs.. (shipped what do you expect) Here are what the other 3 looked like at hatch.. I am working on updated pics of them all now.

Happy feet Turned mostly all black.. She's an A as well. She has a little ligher area on her neck under her beek.

Lil' Coco... She is solid black now.. She is a Class B/C only 9 weeks will see where she lands. Side note... She is the most friendliest.. She likes to get under your chin and sleep.
