they are cute but they are not seramas but are Dutch Bantams.. Light Brown I "think" is the color.. I used to have some dutch and yes they too are sweet little birds.

I was thinking along the lines of Dutch as well

I've only wormed them once so far, but I was going to worm them every month. Guess I won't now. Oh, and sure they live on the ground. They free range my garage, and they play outside in the summer. There is the slight chance that they have a secret stash of eggs somewhere amongst the junk, but everyone is accounted for every time I go out to play with them. No sneaking off to some secret egg pile.

Mine are outdoor free range and have run of the yard. I always get the eggs, though. I do stumble on one or two nests each year, but my nice nest boxes must be too tempting to resist laying in.

I hate to say it but I noticed them last night and didn't comment but they're definitely not Serama with those white ear lobes, the long back and horizontal build. Where did you get them that they sold them as Serama?

you can have a serama with a white earlobe. This little girl weighs just past 10 ounces....she is not the best quality (due to earlobes) but I love her type and size....I know people will say there is silkie blood in there, you can debate that with june from oklahoma, she bred this little hen, and she says nope....

The standard for serama calls for red earlobes but they are still a work in progress. A lot of serama still do have white earlobes. But I agree, those are not serama. They look like Dutch bantams.
