They look happy! Mine are still inside but will be hopefully soaking up some sun this weekend while I'm cleaning their garage pens

I'm wondering if the set in the 3rd photo is the pen my Zephyr came from

Actually I think the eggs I sent you came from the first and second sets. The third set is actually 2 babies and the frizz is the mom she hasn't started laying again since she hatched those 2, she was originally with the roo in the first set.

"There are size 3 rubber leg bands on ebay. They are fine for day old chicks up to about 3-4 weeks, when bigger band will work".

Bailey, Do you use these size 3 bands? Do you like them? I also saw size 2...too small? Don't want to have to change them too often, but don't want them too big either!

Thinking of trying them. Does anyone else have experience with these latex bands?

I have used the #3 bands on newborn chicks, then put on #4's when about 2 weeks old or so...I have had problems in the past with bands becoming too tight and constricting the blood flow on older birds, so I usually up the size earlier than most. I have recently used liquid food coloring on the chicks when I take them from the brooder, and I like that much better, one less danger to worry about. I have had tiny chicks whose #3 bands would fall off, then they'd try to eat them. For darker colored chicks, I put the food coloring on their bellies, which usually has lighter down for the first couple of weeks. By 2-3 weeks, all babies are banded, which for me, is a two-man process!
