I have a problem already..well, I had a little cockerel serema and then I have a little buff kinda colored one
The boy was mean to any other chickens if they weren't originally in his group
The other little serema was not..another words when I combined the newer chickens with them..it was the boy that would come running and just rip out feathers
He went to my friend anyways
So I kept the girl, because my goal is to keep a girl serema, then I got another one this past week..they got along great
In the box is..combined now for a week..that little buff serema..along with a buff silkie and others
During the past week I would hear a liitle cry..run over look in the box and they all look fine..again two days later.. A bloody curl, run over look in the box..again all looked fine
Yesterday took the group outside and right in front of me..the buff serema..wings, hair up runs over and yanks the feathers of the little buff..and it was pretty ruff..
Okay now I know the culprit..but also saw the cochin join in to help pull feathers and attack the buff silkie
Grabbed up the buff serema and put her in time out. Then thought maybe it was a fluke..so later put them all in the box again in the home..I hear the cry out..grab up the serema and say you are trouble..I don't want the others to act like u..why do u have to be so mean, the others are easy going..
So looked around and thought shoot where to put the buff silkie..put her now in the box with the 2 week old amerecaunas and their all fine together
Are seremas just more aggressive to others...I kinda have been narrowing down as I incubate what I am keeping and have gotten rid of so many as I build my win flock
How do I house them all together then..do I then put the 2 silkies I am keeping in a pen in the coop? So I can still keep my serema
The new serema is very docile and you would think, the buff serema would have picked on that one cause that was the newest addition but for some reason she just goes after that one buff silkie
What do I do?
