Zoo, you take the best baby photos! Fran's expression just makes her look like a little Witch and Danielle is going, "Really, I have to live with her?"

I know for a fact that is what she is saying!

Are you guys housing the tiny Seramas separately from the bigger chicks? I noticed some have mixes like I do. I'm wondering if the tiny ones (I have a few that are REALLY REALLY small) are getting the food and water. There are 12 Seramas in with 12 larger breeds. It's only the 2nd day, so I know they'll be separated in the near future, I'm just wondering if I should do it now. The Seramas all seem to be running around and healthy (though one is battling pasty butt).

Yep, I have my Seramas in with my regular size bantams and standard chicks - all age appropriate of course. The last batch of Seramas earlier this month were two weeks old when I introduced 3 day old standards and 3 day old bantams. Of course the standards will have to come out soon - probably another 2 weeks - but my first set of Seramas are living with the same bantams they hatched with 6 weeks ago. My hatch this weekend will be living with Show Girls, mixed bantams, Marans and Sizzle/Leghorns for a few weeks too. They all do fine together.

I'll move the standards as soon as they are big enough not to need the heat quite so much, I've got some other standard-sized chicks in a different brooder that are a few weeks older. I'll probably move the silkies then too, but the OEGB will stay with them since they are about the same size.

Hello all been a while since i have posted here, thought i would post some pics, I like scroling through looking at other peoples birds, so i thought others may like doing the same.

This hen is just a pet, she lays itty bitty infertile eggs, but she is just sweet!!

This is a pullet about 5 months old I calll her RJ, she is also just a sweet bird!!

I just love the seramas, they are the total package in a chicken, personality, color, attitude, pocket chicken!!

Zoo Mummzy, I am starting to be like you -- rescuing birds. I aquired an older japanese bantam hen last night. I am assesing her right now and she has an eyelid that does not work. Also two toes are missing there nails (old injury). She hobbles a bit, but gets around. The people I got her from said she was mean. Well here I have her right now laying on my chest snuggling. I will get pics posted asap, once she feels more comfy with me. She looks just like a large serama.

I can't wait to see photos of her. I have rescued several older hens too. They are just as heartwarming as the little ones. If I ever win the big lottery, I want to open a chicken rescue sanctuary

OK Here is the first pic of the new-bee. She needs a bath. No mites or other bugs on here and she appears healthy, just old injuries. Her feet look like they got scaulded, very beat up looking. Now she needs a name as she will live with me forever.
