Thanks! We call him Axel Crows. He is a very sweet boy. I hatched him from eggs that were gifted to me by a friend/breeder here in GA.
ps...He is destined to head up my breeding program.

They are sooo cute!! I really love the little buff colored one behind your mystery chick on the right. It has such a cute, grumpy little face.

Congratulations on the great hatch!

Ok I got a few more pictures.

Here is the buff colored pullet (I think). They were asleep so she did not want to stand up just wanted to lay down.

Here is the boy. I tried to get some different angles. The first one was right at the end of a crow.

And one last boy

These guys are 5 weeks old today. Has I was pulling them out I did notice only the two buff ones have yellow legs. All the others have green to some degree. Let me know what you think.

These babies look more like Serama than the earlier pics, although they do appear to have long backs. As they are only 5 weeks old, I would give them more time to mature and see where they are in another couple of months. Green legs are not something you would want in a breeding program because they are very hard to breed out. Yellow/swarthy legs are what one should be breeding towards. Watch for a nice upright stance and vertical wing set on a bird with a nice uplifted chest. Remember, too, that "character" is an important part of the American Serama Standard. Patience is definitely a virtue when it comes to Serama, however, they do mature much more quickly than large fowl birds! Best of luck in your Serama endeavors.
