Hi guys just want to confirm with others that I have a rooster before I rehome him. He is only 8 weeks old but have been sure he is a roo for a long time. Thanks everyone

At 8 weeks it's a cockerel. A pullet would not be near that red. Not an araucana

Cockerel for sure, also not an Araucana. He is some kind of crossbreed.

Its not a arucana .

It depends where the OP lives as to whether it is an Araucana or not. Here in the UK and Australia/New Zealand as well I believe, Araucana have tails.

Edited to add.... cancel that last..... just realised it doesn't have a pea comb.

True, but the UK standard also calls for a pea comb same as the US standard.

Those are U.S. Araucana. Australian Araucana are tailed, muffed/bearded, and crested. OP's bird is a mixed breed cockerel.
