Hi, we decided to get out of duck keeping after predators finished off the 2 hens we had. Luke, a male muscovy/rouenn cross mule, is the sole survivor. Hes free to a good home in the SF Bay Area. He has a soothing quack, and very nice mallard like plumage with spotted belly feathers.
If you want your girls to have a boyfriend but don't want any little ducklings or potential ducklings around then Luke is your guy. We'd keep him but a lone duck is not a happy duck and the wildlife around here makes it too dangerous for more hens - and for Luke for that matter.
