I noticed my Male duck had a what I think is a prolapsed male part I have no vet to consult with but after having a chicken hen with one earlier this year that's the only thing I can think it is.... I treated hers for about a month- 6 weeks before it healed using oil, Vaseline, triple anti biotics and calcium pills. I'm assuming it's a similar thing for ducks? I currently have him isolated after a bath to clean him up so I could see a bit better I have a photo below can anyone help me on what to do to treat it?

Alright so after having him inside and treating this like I did with my female chicken I'm keeping it clean with him in a cat crate with supervised time outside of it. He also get bathes every other day.

Today after his bath I looked him over and gentle peeled away some of the stuff on his prolapse to see if it was in fact wounded and the body made a shell around it was created to heal and protect that. It so happens that seems to be the case I'm assuming it was a day or two old when I found it not sure what caused it but here we are. It seems to be healing and I ordered some Vetericyn to hopefully help along more.

Currently I am using a water bottle with regular old water to spray any lose debris or case off, I then go in with another healing spray I currently have which is Rooster Booster's All natural one, then I go in with triple antibiotics to cover anything the spray dosen't and then veggie oil to coat it to help keep it moist.

Duck Duck is currently happy and acting mostly like a normal duck he does have a bit of aggression 1 cause he's never been a super friendly Duck and 2 I think the stress of being away from others but that can't really be helped right now but otherwise he cleans himself, eats, drinks, and just quacks about.

Will keep updating and hopefully this helps someone else someday too wish me luck on helping Duck Duck
