Male Indian Runner Preening

I have a male runner who is almost 4 months old. This is my first go around with ducks so please be kind
When he preens himself recently something that looks like a worm is coming out of him. I assume this is his male parts but I'm not sure. Is this normal or anything to worry about?

WHERE is it coming out of? Since you said you thought it could be his genitals, then it probably is. Ducks are one of the very few birds that have a penis, and it is corkscrew shaped.

It was coming out from underneath it. I feel so silly asking this but it's my first go around with ducks. It was definitely a spiral shape
