If Spot isn't quacking at 8 weeks, and has green tint to the bill, I'd say he's a drake... Drake curl won't come in until his adult feathers are coming in... and that will be when his head will turn green... got a couple months before that happens...Spot still has the saddle though
What a handsome man! I'm still impatiently waiting for my drake's green head feathers to come in. He's 4.5 months old. He and my female have started to "mate". I don't know if they're actually mating or just practicing. I thought they have to be six months before they can lay. How quickly did your drake head feathers come in? This was ten days ago:
