I have 5 chicks all about a week old but on some of them, I have started noticing tiny combs (see attached). I understand it is a bit to early to tell the gender but I was wondering if this is common in roosters at one week old?

Can you give more pictures of side of their heads? To me, all three looks like roosters.

Adorable chicks, but much too young to tell gender. Like sourland said, all chicks hatch with combs. Please post pics when they are at least 6-8 weeks old and we'll be able to help you more then.
