Male or Female?

I am leaning towards a male. What are your thoughts?

Ive been told that the males are the prettier ones and the females are more plain.

So as this is a rather pretty bird I'd say male- tho I do find the females to be pretty too.

The reason I asked is becuase just a few weeks ago it didn't have that many barring and I had a younger one with a lot of barring so I was for sure on the two, but now I know.
