Male or female?

These guys were born the last week of May. I think the Silkie is male and hope the ee is female. What do you think?

SIlkie looks to be a male. The EE appears to be a pullet. Can you get a better picture of the face?

Those red shoulders are a pretty typical cockerel coloring for EEs.

I'm praying it's just a funky colored hen. It is smaller and has a less developed comb than its brother does. If it is male then I will have four boys from five "pullets". I already have to find homes for the silkie and probably an oddly colored leghorn. i was going to keep the other EE but if this one is a boy too... that would put my chicken count at five roosters and six hens. Not good

2,000% both cockerels...pullets will never get that dark dark red on the wings like that

The mother did, and that is one of the reasons I thought it was a pullet.
