I am a new chicken owner, two of my chicks came from the school so their sex is unknown, I know one of them is a roo because he is already crowing, but I'm unsure about this one?? They are crps reeds so I can't tell you what breed...

It might help if I put the picture on

Can you get a nice, clear side shot of the bird? Also, it is important to share the age of the bird when considering gender as certain things that are seen will mean different things depending on age. For example, the bright red comb/wattle development this bird is showing - if under 16-18 weeks would be male indicating, but if over 20 weeks would not be as significant and could be a female reaching the point of lay.
That being said, I am leaning cockerel on this bird, but the wire in the photo is distorting the saddle area so it makes it fuzzy and difficult to "read" those feathers in this photo.

Oh whew! Cause I love her and wouldn't want to give her back! The male will be going back to the school as they said they would take him, I wish I could keep him as he's a real character but they aren't allowed in our neighborhood

hopefully these are better!

That's what I thought but the teacher at my daughters school keeps insisting that I need to wait, I was think inking the pointed neck feathers high tail would mean cockerel too????
