I suppose with names, if you want a common but sweet name you could call him something like 'Chip'.
I also love the name 'Pluto' for king quails since they're small and blue.

I don't really know how you could stop him besides getting him a mate.

Have you posted a wanted ad on gumtree? (I saw one but I'm not sure if it's you)

Another thing you could try is checking your local pet shops. My first king quail a single male from my local pet shop.

If you still have trouble, you can post a new thread on the Buy-Sell-Trade forum asking if anyone has any king quails for sale nearby.

Yes my pet stores are not really good and don’t often sell livestock I’ll try the above link
