So his name his pluto, but he is starting call quite loudly and I have no idea why

We have japanese quail and when we leave the male by himself he starts calling. Pluto is a super cute name! It really fits him.

You can try that if you can't find any other females. Only problem is that you would have to wait a few weeks for the eggs to hatch and then another 6 weeks for them to grow up. But you may not have any other options.
