Also I have just found a ad for a trio of courtnix quail can they live with king quail

Probably not the best idea to keep them together because of the size difference. Japanese (coturnix) quails are quite a lot larger than king quails.

That should work out fine. I have japanese quails in my aviary with cockatiels, a budgie and my princess parrots.

I am looking to find a home for Kingsley and will be writing a separate post about that tomorrow. We found a young King quail (Kingsley) last October running up and down the walkway at the condo building we live in. It had escaped from someone's home. We rescued Kingsley and have taken great care of him. Unfortunately, we live in a very small condo with no real room for him. He is all by himself and we want to see him with other King quail. He is definitely lonely and his calls are beautiful. If you know of anyone where this would be a good fit, I would greatly appreciate if you would let me know. Sorry for the long post. We live in Southern California and it's next to impossible to find anyone within a 300 mile radius who would be interested. He needs to be with other compatible quail. Thank you!
