In Trying To Sex Quail, Is It Only The Males That Make The Loud Call/crowing Sound?

my husband swears our males yell "CHOCOLATE PIE"


i told him they can yell all they want... but they still won't get any chocolate pie from me... having an African Grey that fusses for pizza is bad enough

some of mine holler "Look at me!" others yell"I'm a Brat!" and a few will say"i'm a dweeb..." those are always the youngsters just starting to call.
I like the "Chocolate pie" call . i can TOTALLY imagine that 1 ...LOL

That's funny! We used to say our roo called "Buck a Brat!" (And we would tease the kids that he was trying to sell them).

With many roos, they all sound slightly different. And when they are young, they make the funniest noises trying to crow.

I have a 2 year old male Bobwhite that when he sees me, he screams..."Pee-U, Pee-U, Pee-U"...Do I stink that bad??

He is a very aggressive bird and this is his "I am going to bite you" call.
