Male to Female ratio?

4 to 7 should be fine too... but if possible let them out to free range if you can, even if it's just a couple hours a day. IMO, penned birds are too uptight/stressed during breeding season unless you have a HUGE pen for them

Others may have penned birds that breed and produce just fine, but I wasn't impressed with my results from the birds in my breeding pen this past season

My current count is 4 hens and 9 cocks, plus two 8 week keets that I think are one of each. I just heard one of them "buckwheating" for the first time yesterday, so at least one is a girl. They all get along fine with only minor squabbles and guinea races around the yard when they're out. I also have 5 chickens and a bantam rooster in the same coop with the guineas and everyone gets along great.
