Does anyone have any idea what causes this strange incompletion at the end of the egg? The shell is slightly damaged and we get these knots on all of our 2-year old Wyandotte's eggs

Thanks!

We had an egg early on that had what looked like an extra blob of shell material on the outside. The inside of the shell (and egg) were perfect.

Yes, it seems like most of her eggs come out like this. Sometimes there's just the knot, but then today's knot looked like it had also caused the shell to crack a little. Her past eggs are always fine inside, just wondering if there's something lacking in her diet that I should fix.

Is that solvable or just one of those things that will be the new normal?
Thanks!

I think it was both the Wyandotte's but not the Maran. Sadly the other Wyandotte died last week so now it's just Mavis laying the funky eggs.
