I have never seen Mallards in these colors, they are beautiful.How did they come about?

I didn't even k now they came in any other color besides the wild color and snowy. I hope he'll post pics of some of his other colors. How did they get these colors though? cross with Calls?

Hahahha! Yeah almost! The last 10 i bought are carrier for chocolate! So i really hopes i will get chocolates in spring!

Almost all my mallards are pure mallards, they are from a woman who hatched 10 pure mallards and one turned out white! 20 years later she has apricot, snowy, blue fawn, white and other colours. Just because that white one.

The last 10 i bought are almost pure, for like 15 years ago he bought a brownblack east indie male and crossed with some of his mallards. But it was 15 years ago, so they are mallards now

My mallards seem to be skittish .

They love to run to me and cry if I have to put them up and when u walk past their misery pen all they do is try to get to me


But hen I pick them up they jump and try to go the opposite direction.


To me mine seem to act like Indian runners , or of them when nervous stands similar to an Indian runner but not quite like it .


Anyway mine are pure mallard so any advice on this would be helpful .
