Yes he can fly. He can also swim good but on land he has to hop. It looks pretty exhausting, and if the other ducks attack him he falls over. Ducks act so nasty and envious when they see someone else get food.
Not that I know off, ducks aren't very popular pets around town. This drake is a "wild" mallard, a slightly domesticated city duck. I believe there is a muscovy duck somewhere around town, and a peking duck in a small lake.
We don't have stores selling ducklings/ducks so there's no impuls buying of them. Sadly pet stores do sell rabbits and they are often dropped off in parks and grasslands
I'll try to get pictures of him, his entire leg is missing. He ate a few peas yesterday and also duck feed but I had to throw it in the ditch because he didn't want to get out.
