MALLARD THREAD...not rouens, Mallards!

Does anyone know where I can get some young ducklings asap? I have a day-old Mallard single hatchling that needs some company desperately. Willing to consider other breeds and will drive to pick up most anywhere in New England. Please let me know if you know of any options.

They are the color of any wild mallard egg ive ever seen.

Mine are usually more greenish. Maybe the lighting on the picture is off.

Nope they are all buff color. No green. Photo is accurate. Same color as wild mallards ive seen in the wild! Yours might be rouens. Theirs are more green.

no mallards eggs are green dude just letting you know they range from white to blue

he was not saying that your ducks arent mallards hes saying that most eggs are green, which normally they do have a green tint, but they can be white, cream, blue, or green

Thanks "Dude". And all im saying from my experience raising wild breed ducks for 20 years is wild mallards eggs are buff. I made the rookie mistake once of acquiring a rouen and her eggs were green!

I am just letting you know that they can range from white to blue it says it in their standard breed definition from holderread
