Mama Chickens - Will they adopt chicks?

If I have a broody hen with babies she has hatched, will she adopt more if I gave them to her?
Would I be able to give her another batch of newly born chicks after an incubation cycle? (21+ days)

Possibly depending on the hen.I have some chicks who are about three weeks and and I added two day old chciks an dmother hen still adopted them.Still depends on the hen herself,soem just cannot help themselves and take anything that chirps,while some have a no returns policy.

I have had success with seven days difference, but have not tried more than that.

It really depends on the hen. Some will accept chicks that are not their own, but others will not. I have found that hens usually raise each batch of chicks for quite a while (several months). And the closer the chicks are to each other in age, the better.
