Our 9-month-old Black Australorp went over the edge into broodiness, so we got 6 eggs for her to sit on. She hatched all, with one dying mid-zip for some reason. They are so cute!

She's actually very sweet. Hasn't pecked or protested much when I reach underneath her. But whenever someone or something comes near her she puffs up and growls

Didn't keep the other Australorp from laying eggs on her head since she was brooding in their favorite nest.
