When I said "scotch tape" I actually use packing tape because it is tougher and stretches more.

I'm out of it here. I use a heating pad, a frame and a towel. No imagination!

I had the underside of my MHP wrapped in a puppy pad but one of my ONE DAY OLD chicks figured out how to separate the layers and climb inside, like a tiny bird hammock. Now it's wrapped in the coziest pink baby blanket $3 could buy. I should take a picture.

Just make sure he/she can find the way out so there's no overheating. AFTER you take the photo!!!

Tested both sides of pad, both sides were same temp.

I've read here, and illustration on pad shows, print side goes to skin(or chicks).......<scratcheshead> wouldn't you want softer side on skin?

Anyway, am going to have to use non print side towards chicks out in coop because of where cord needs to go......
