Some things I like...some I don't.....some I miss.
It's been a brain twister, that's for sure.
Getting the hang of it tho.

Editing old posts is great...this thread could use a few links in the first post.
I can think of several other similarly long threads that will benefit from the editing old posts aspect.

Well, I don't exactly love it yet....I miss so many things about the old one. I miss that pesky little dude that used to pop up, tell me there was a new post or two while I was typing, and let me click on them to read so in case I was duplicating an response I could change it accordingly or stop completely. I miss my subscriptions the way they were set up. I hate the alert thing - waste of time because as soon as you open it everything grays out and you don't know where to pick up and what you have or haven't read for sure. There all there in the Watched Threads anyway, so why keep hunting and pecking in two different places? I hate having to click the the quote button, then the insert quotes button, then getting a third box pop up that I have to click to insert quoted message, then click post reply. Too many unnecessary steps to accomplish what the old platform accomplished in one. The search feature is much pickier about the keywords so it's harder to find stuff using it. I hate that the little mountain doesn't work for inserting photos. I dunno yet.... so far the "not like" column is bigger than the "like" column for me, but I gotta say that this ability to edit older posts has done a great service to this thread.

Oh, for crying out loud! When they changed the platform they changed the page layout, which affected the page numbers. Now I gotta find it and correct that! So glad you told me...Bless you and thank you!

You can still link posts...the numbers are there, just smaller, right click-copy link address (on laptop with chrome)

I found it and corrected it. Would have been a lot easier if each thread had it's own "search this thread" like it used to.

@aart, what I had done was bookmarked Bee's page a long time ago and it sat right on top of my desktop. When I wanted to send the link, I simply copied and pasted the address to the post. That's what I did this time....except it didn't work and went to a totally different page. I'll know next time, but I think others should also know that if they've got links to favorite pages in a thread in their computer bookmarks they aren't going to work?

I have a ton of links pasted into my notes file.....most are working fine, except the search ones, had to re-do those...not sure about bookmarks or desktop icons tho, probably need to be recreated.

I gather from the language used in other threads that the ability to edit old posts is temporary and if we have old posts that we've always wanted to edit, that we'd better do it fast before that feature is turned off again. Since so many people are rejoicing at having that ability, I don't know if the admin will change his mind and leave it on.

Hi guys, I'm getting the brooder set up for my 4 chicks that will arrive this week, it's my first time raising chicks without a Broody hen, so I'd love feedback on the set up

I didn't have any of those long screw thingys, so the heating pad, rack and towel are wired to the top and back of the crate. It seems very secure, but I'm a bit of an anxious chicken "mommy".
