Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Patience isn't my strongest suit!! I was mainly just curious what you look for on those because the barred rock comb is so red and prominent already compared to the others.
Now that the weather here in central Michigan will finally be shifting. I'm looking forward to getting them outside. I'm going to transition them in the garage with the heating pad still available for a few nights. I know they have enough feathers to keep them warm. But don't want to shock them from inside to outside temps

This lounger is the one in question. I don't see anything distinct in that comb, so I'm gonna hope that I'm 5/6 still for layers!!

Do you have a pic like from a week or so ago? I have two that are "supposed" to be Wellies but...yeah just don't look the my others. They look similar to yours, mine are almost 3 weeks old

I can't tell you that for sure, both of mine are. I don't remember them being dark as new chicks, but they turned dark fairly soon

I had read before (these have been a steady breed for me) that the color of the legs represents color of the eggs they'll lay.

Sorry, that one's a nope. Mine all have very green legs and lay very blue eggs.
