Mamma gave up on eggs too early!

I found out a lady near me has some silkie chicks she is selling and I’m thinking about getting 2 or so to keep this one company. I’m guessing this one will be here in 4-5 days and the chicks are 6 days old right now. I could get them tomorrow so they can have a quarantine period and I can watch them for disease.

thats sounds like a good combo.

I have a bit of a problem... it is raining here and the humidity in the incubator is at 76%. I have no clue how to lower it. If I open the incubator, the humidity inside just rises.

Did you get the humidity to come down? I assume you already don't have any water in there? And is your hygrometer correct? I can't imagine 76% inside with no water and still that humid. I live in a very humid area and still only gets to 35-40% with no water. keep all the vents open too!
