My Hen's first batch of chicks are almost 3 month old now, they all live in the new coop with run ( I have 2). Now she is doing that broody thing again and WILL NOT TOLERATE any of her first batch! running out of space! I have thought of putting a divider inside the coop and keeping her in, on her side all the time with food and water and nest, though she seems to want to go outside. (the door, on the coop, to outside is on the other section) Aaahhhh!!

ANY SUGGESTIONS???

If you want her to hatch another clutch, then separate her off as intended. She will adjust. I keep my broodies in a wire bird cage, with their own food and water so they aren't bothered by everyone else. If you don't want her to sit, seperate her into a cage with a wire bottom and no shavings, so she cant be all warm, snuggly and well.......broody. Good luck!
