What is simplest enclosure needed for an all season all weather roost?

The man cave will be a 3' by 16' 1/2" HC cage inside a secure covered run and should accommodate:
  1. Access door to man cave.
  2. Pop door to free range property.
  3. 6' sheltered roost.
  4. Leisure space.
I am thinking panels attached to posts, walls and roof structures:
  1. Upper back panel.
  2. West side hinged upper panel (access to main man-cave).
  3. Coop wall as East "panel".
  4. Ramp for roost access (runs west to east).
making a three sided wooden enclosure 3 feet wide over it's length..

Managing drafts in winter is a primary concern. What works?

Might depend on your prevailing winds....
....and how well the run itself might protect this roost.
Would help to see it...once it's built.
But panels of wood or plastic sheeting covering most the area can work.

Coop and run face south east. Prevailing is in from north west. North run wall is tarped in winter.

New 3' by 16' roost/enclosure is inside the covered run along north wire wall; east narrow end is against west (right) coop exterior wall. [White tarp winter only.]

I will add a vertical wire wall 3' inside back wall.

I figured, pictures coming.

Depends on how cold your winters get and how much the winds howl. Might want to plan on a way of enclosing it very well, with the option of leaving something open if not needed, rather than needing something tight and not being there.
