Man up the street, sort of threatening me....what should I do?

Hi. First off I would love to know what's in the bag.
I think you need to file a report with the police and the conversation. Go to the salvation army and buy a size 12 work boots and put them at your front door.
Did he threaten you?
If he comes back, then you can file a harrassment charge and restraining order.
I don't think locking your chickens up at night will help much, cause he could certainly put poison down.

my old boots are size 14 ,, i could send ,, hehehe

I know you love your pets, I love my chooks too. I don't think you should even think about giving them up. You are allowed to have roos. He has no rights. And you do, and shouldn't even think about locking your roo up. You are on the right side of the law here.

Oh yea, it might help to talk to your closest neighbors and tell them what happened and how scared you are. People love to feel like they are protecting someone

NOOO! trying to fly under the radar LOL.Act first and apologize later....If I don't need the roos I'll find a home for them.Or maybe I'll keep one and see what happens.I've read mixed messages about having roosters.
I'm in the same boat as others on this thread .We put up with three years of construction noise and landscaping .The landscaping maintenence is just as bad. An entire day of loud machines once a month. I just grit my teeth. But I do empathize with those wanting to sleep later.
Thank you for the info.

Seriously - you live in San Francisco...how dangerous could this be? This would be different in the South....Maybe he will write you a letter and tell you how mad he is. Was he wearing a tutu drinking an iced mochachino.

Kidding - do you live in a rural area? If not - lose the rooster and respect your neighbors....if you live out in the country then ignore the loser and go on with your life - you have the right to prtoect yourself and your property - with firearms...use the right.

Main article: District of Columbia v. Heller
In District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. ___, decided on June 26, 2008, the Supreme Court ruled that "The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home," and "that the District’s ban on handgun possession in the home violates the Second Amendment, as does its prohibition against rendering any lawful firearm in the home operable for the purpose of immediate self-defense."

So far I have had no further contact or problems from the guy. Today, Saturday, my babies slept in so we did not have crowing until 5:30.
I have moved back into my bedroom and I can barely hear them. I am wondering if this guy is serious...can he really hear them that well?? Amazing.
