Lady clearly states she is in an unincorporated, rural area where there are no restrictions on livestock. Not in a town or a city where roosters should NOT be allowed. She is within her rights as a property owner to have whatever livestock she wants. Thats why we choose to live in rural areas.
It's cavalier attitudes like that that cause such areas to have to eventually pass laws forbidding roosters under any circumstance.

Sure I live in the "city"
And my neighbors have dogs that they allow to bark 24/7
and neighbors that party ALL NIGHT LONG
and neighbors that are hammering and sawing til the wee hours
And the college up the street, and the playing fields down the street. And the college students and ALL that comes with them.
And I have a rooster that I am trying to rehome. Why?
Because even though all this other crap and noise is going on around me "I" am NOT a rude neighbor.
No one has complained. I have the permit to keep them, and him. I am within the law even in the city. But there is the basic consideration for my neighbors. So tonight Humphrey will be put in a cat carrier(maybe the "not being able to stand and stretch his neck to crow" thing will work?) If so, that will be his home til I leave for work at 830 and will be his new place overnight. I am also adding a heavy wool blanket to the window vents for overnight/early morning. If these things work he stays. No one will be bothered by him occasionally crowing during the working hours of the day. But 5/6/7 am here? It's just not neighborly to allow him to be "him". Legal or not
