Manadrin and Wood Duck Pen Question

Hi.

I will be getting 2 pairs of Manadarins and 2 pairs of Wood Ducks in the spring. I will have 4 cages for my pheasant species that are 10 by 10 foot squares and about 7 feet tall. They are Silver, Red Golden, Lady Amherst, and Silver Golden. I also have an aviary for my pair of IB peafowl. I will have 2 pairs of Ruddy Ducks and 2 pairs of Bahama Pinatails. There will also be a pair of pearl guinea fowl and a pair of black mutant pheasants. It is 20 by 20 feet and 15 feet tall.

So, my real question is whether or not I should keep the wood ducks and mandarins a pair in each pheasant cage, or put them all in the aviary. What do you think. I don't mind building more pens if there is not enough space or the ducks can't go with the pheasants. I just really like an aviary with a variety of birds all over it. Thanks in advance for any replies you can give me.

The Bahamas, Woodies, and Mandarins would be fine together the Ruddies may get bullied from the three other species as all three can be very active durring breeding. If it were me I would consider a seperate enclosure for the ruddy ducks with lots of grassy cover for them to nest in.

I think the pen would be alright for the others just try it and see how they get along

well I have A pair of Ring Teal , Cape teal , Mandarins, woodies, Brazilian teal, Red Crested Pochard all in a 16ft x 8 ft x 5.5 ft aviary. I will be getting chiloe wideons and Bahamas pintails soon. Now eveery one I have right now gets along just fine and have for two years no issues during breeding season ,

Hey Daren, i know your probably just going to get those chiloes and pintails from a close source, but if you want some unrelated stock to go with that i have some pintails for sale, normal and 1 silver.

The more room the better but the Ruddy Ducks do like their privacy whereas I believe Wood Ducks and Mandarins will breed in a mudhole with a nest box if given the chance.
