Agree that making an opening on one side or back would help. I also have a rectangular covered feed area, and since mine is wire mesh I cut an opening on one side so birds can pass in and out from the side or the wider "front" opening.The board in the back is about 22" tall. I could cut it in half horizontally, would that be a good idea? I was planning on leaning a pallet against the back of this, so there would be another hiding spot.
