Mandarin ducks sexing

hello everyone.
i have 4 mandarin ducks , they 8 weeks old now. did anyone know when males start moulting (if there any males). one is hand reared , hatched at my incubator. other 3 i brought at 5 days old , they are a bit wildish (dont like go on hands) but easy taking favorite food from the hands. pictures attached

I would say: 2 males and 2 females. The one on your shoulder being a female.

the beak/bill of a young mandarin male is more red/pink.
the beak/bill of a young mandarin female is more brown/dark.

Secundo, is correct.
The first difference you will notice is the females bills will begin to turn dark gray.

Hi, so now I know there's hope to actually tame them a bit. Now I have to find out about the wood ducks. And what age both are when you can see the difference in the beaks on the mandarins. Thank you

Thank you for that information as I was wondering because I had to hatch out and one does have a red little knob on the end of his beak. Now I have to look up what a newborn silver wood duck looks like. Thank you
