mandarin vs runner

are they compatible? i have a lonely female runner duck. she's laying on eggs to hatch. but i feel she needs another friend. since my drake died a few weeks ago.

I would not keep something as flighty as a mandarin with a domestic...you do know the mandarin would have to be pinioned or kept in an aviary so it wouldn't fly away. Yo me, it's a bad mix.
