Hi, I am a newbie from WVa with a small flock, nearly 1 year old now. I have a Golden Laced Wyandotte rooster (named Slick) and 4 Light Brahma pullets. I very quickly found myself addicted to chickens and am getting ready to put in an order for 10 more layers (trying Black Australorps and Americaunas this year). I free-range my chickens most of the day, as long as I am home to keep an eye on things. They are happy and they make me happy and keep me well entertained!

EVERY time I go online to research chicken info, I always find myself here! You have the best and most detailed info, that's for sure. Wonderful site, very nicely organized. You have saved me much frustration, that's for sure! I have read several chicken books cover to cover, and have found your site to be THE go-to source for chicken information that I can't find anywhere else.

I came on here today looking for info on how to stop feather pulling (started after a long week of hard winter weather) and was so satisfied with the results I found, that I decided that I just ought to go ahead and sign up here!

It's probably best that I don't get much time on the computer, because I am sure I could easily be on here all day, but I will from now on just come straight here when I have a chicken question!

Thank you so much for this wonderful site and all your time and efforts in running it!

There are many eggsperts that come around these parts. I learn something new here everyday.

Oh, and welcome, I'm certain you can teach us a thing or two
