Maran Hen Mystery Noises & Stumbling

Back again with my mystery Maran, we thought she had bounced back but today is noisier than she has been and noticed her stumbling too.
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
20 week old Cuckoo Maran - weight seems fine
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Stretching her neck out and opening her mouth to breathe, she also occasionally honks like she is trying to clear her throat. She's otherwise acting normal, was running around the yard, scavenging and scratching. Today we noticed her stumbling on occassion as she walked around the yard - the honking and stumbling can be seen in this video https://youtu.be/U2Zok0fejKg
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
We first posted about her honking on Dec 6.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Nothing of memory
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Eating & Drinking Normal
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Normal
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Initially she was separated from the flock, 5 days of Doxy-Tyl - saw no difference
We did notice her crop wasn't emptying properly so during this time we withheld food and made sure that her crop was emptying and had access to grit, this resolved in 2 days and her crop has been normal since
All birds were wormed with safeguard recently
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?

She sounds like she could have a respiratory infection. MG (Mycoplasma gallisepticum) is pretty common. It can be mild and clear up on its own or more serious and make a chicken very sick. It's also contagious. It's treated with Tylosis. https://www.jedds.com/shop/tylan-soluble-100-g/

That's what we initially believed too, we gave her a full series of doxy-tyl and didn't see any change

Did you check her crop and throat?

Does her crop empty completely overnight or can you feel residues in the morning before she had anything to eat or drink?

Look into her beak, do you see anything stuck in the palate/roof, under her tongue or down the throat? Do you see mucous or any kind of whitish or yellowish plaques??

Did you check her crop and throat?

Does her crop empty completely overnight or can you feel residues in the morning before she had anything to eat or drink?

Look into her beak, do you see anything stuck in the palate/roof, under her tongue or down the throat? Do you see mucous or any kind of whitish or yellowish plaques??

Been checking her crop every morning and it's been completely emptying with no residue.
I looked into her beak yesterday and couldn't see anything, also checked with a qtip down her throat and didn't get any mucous or anything out

When an antibiotic fails to improve a condition, it can be due to two things.

One is that the med isn't the correct one for the condition.

The other is that there's an underlying, more serious health condition that is causing too much stress on the immune system for the antibiotic to help much.

What can you do? Option one is to wait a week before doing another round of the med, meanwhile trying to discover other diagnoses.

Option two is to treat with extra vitamins and protein to build up the chicken's natural defenses and then do another round of the med.

If that fails to improve the condition, then you might assume cancer or organ failure due to a chronic untreatable infection.

Update: she deteriorated rapidly over the past few days, unable to stand or walk easily and lost interest in food. Made the tough decision to euth her. Suspect it was Mareks
