Maran male?

Hello! I have two marans and curious if the black (gray?) one is a male. We purchased them in early May, if I remember correctly, as chicks. She has not made any attempt to crow but was picked on terribly by a former rooster of ours when she was smaller. Thinking male bc of tail feathers? Or too early to tell? Thank you!

Sorry, but there's no way for us to give you definite answers without pictures of the birds in question.

Those look like Easter Eggers to me, not Marans, one is for sure a cockerel, and the other looks like it could be as well, but I can't tell for sure.

Thank you for the reply! Shoot, the farm store had them as Cuckoo Marans but I’ll take them as Easter Eggers for sure! Hoping then, that the brown one is a female.
