Marans crossed with Wheaton Ameracauna

Is it possible because they are F2 to have the single comb and puffy cheeks? And still be this cross of breeds?
Were the F1 Olive Eggers bred back to Marans? Were true Ameraucanas used or Easter Eggers?
Still possible but I some of the offspring should sport pea combs as it is dominant to the single comb. Also statistically half of the offspring would have the blue egg gene and half wouldn’t.

Well I don’t know what I have then. A mutt chicken for sure. And out $16 to someone who may not have been honest. :(

Yeah I’m fine with them as long as they are nice! So far, not so nice. I need to handle them more. All of my EE’s are so sweet except the lavenders, they are very standoffish like they know they are seen easy by the bald eagles around here.

I run a micro farm and have 2 kids that love them so egg production and pets :)
So give them a chance they might be great layers. As for being stand offish. They don't know you yet. Talk calmly to them and try feeding some limited snacks. I feed my birds upstairs, morning and night, so they see me as their source of food. My 2 SLW took a while to warm up but they are fine now.

Sorry no feet yet. Too dark out there.
These were their baby chick pictures. Just thought I would share.
