maran's egg size

It seems like everyone has large maran eggs. What the heck is wrong with my birds? They have been laying for a month or so and the eggs are medium size....if I'm lucky! I love the deep brown color though. The birds are some of my largest and I get wimpy eggs. All my other birds lay HUGE eggs.
go to tractor supply and buy a bag of Plotspike Forage Oats. Then get online and follow the simple directions for sprouting oats for your birds. Sprouted oats are excellent for bringing hens into lay. Great for enhancing the vigor of roosters sperm for more robust chicks. Feed each bird one cubic inch of sprouted oats a day. Lots of info on how to do this in the"feeding and managing your flock" BYC forum.
Also, give your birds a tablespoon of black oil sunflower seeds per bird each day, scattered in the run. It will make their feathers lusterous.
Best regards,
Karen in western PA, USA.
P.S., do not feed yur birds corn when they are laying. It makes them fat which negatively effects the number of eggs laid.
