Wheaton marans started to lay. I used two backgrounds so you can see a comparison of color. They aren't as dark as I expected, but still beautiful (in my opinion).

How old are they? I have some Marans that are about 4 months. I got my first egg on saturday from my Rhode Islands who are two weeks older.

Mine were hatched on Mothers day. I think that makes them 27 weeks old. These are my first marans eggs.
