Count me in. I have 10 BCMs (some are blue) set in my bator due to hatch on 03/07. Candling is a tall order for these type of eggs they're very dark.

Originally I have 11 but dropped one.

Ok Im in, I have some hatching this week and than next I think and Im setting more this weekend if I have any eggs (people are buying like mad now go figure)
Hope my new homemade incubator works.

Just finished hatching yesterday. I got 7 out of 12. 2 were stuck in there eggs and I had to help them. Hopefully they will be strong enough to survive. Hatched 5 out 3 weeks ago.

I hatched 5 BCM's yeaterday

I'm going to try to post a pic.





They were shipped eggs I started with a dozen from e-bay. Three were clear never started. Out of the 9 that went into lockdown 5 hatched yesterday. I still have the other 4 in the bator for another day.

Look at the feathers on the legs. These are the first ones I've had and I'm not sure what they are suppose to look like.

Newbie question. How do you guys/gals check for bad eggs if you can't candle them. Use your nose for rotten smell? Or perhaps a scale to check for weight loss?

I ran the humidity day 1 to 18 25% to 35% Lockdown I ran at 50% to 55% after the first pip I raised it to 65%.
Next time I will run 65% at lockdown I was confused with the lower humidity method.

I will be in. I have Black coppers and Blue splash in lockdown right now and blue coppers were set either last wed or sat. I cant remmbers. I have them written down. Also have welsummers in lockdown and wellie set what ever day last week i did not set the coppers. Hatch day on the black copper,splash and wellie in lockdown will be tommorrow or friday. Cant wait.
